Single Parents Encouraging Children In Alternative Leisure (S.P.E.C.I.A.L.) provides positive recreation, youth empowerment, and academic support to underprivileged youth in Cook, DuPage, & Will Counties. S.P.E.C.I.A.L. believes that exposing children to positive recreation promotes healthy and successful lifestyles. Through fundraising, generous donations from sponsors,and members contributions. S.P.E.C.I.A.L. is able to host food/clothes drives, a holiday toy drive, after school mentorship, a 6 week youth empowerment program and much more. Single Parents Encouraging Children In Alternative Leisure services hundreds of youth and their families.
